My Baby Prayer

I had an amazing moment praying the other day. I usually visit Psalm 139 regulary, but when I read it this time, I realized that it was no longer for me but for our baby!

"Oh yes, you shaped our baby first inside, then out;
you are forming it in my womb.
I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, our baby is marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know it inside and out,
you know every bone in it's body;
You know exactly how he or she was made, bit by bit,
how it was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched our baby grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of it's life were spread out before you,
The days of it's life all prepared
before our baby even lived one day.

Your thoughts—how rare, how beautiful!
God, I'll never comprehend them!
I couldn't even begin to count them—
any more than I could count the sand of the sea."

  1. First...Congratulations! I was able to talk to Tye a couple of weekends ago, but I keep missing you! Second...this post, as I scrolled down to read EVERYTHING, made me tear up. I love God's word! Thank you for sharing. I have added your blog to our blog as a link so I can see when you update.
