Week 36- 4 Weeks/31 Days To Go!

Feeling good, except for occasional discomfort from Mia kicking and moving all over my rib cage! She also wakes me up early, no matter how late I go to bed. (She's training me already!) Now we're just trying to finish everything before I go into labor! I can go into labor 2 weeks before my due date (which is the week of Nov. 20th!) We better get it all done in time! Tye has been staying up all night eagerly putting together Mia's nursery furniture and decor. It's coming together beautifully! We are just waiting on her crib, which should arrive before Nov. 12th. My Dr.'s appt.'s are weekly now. I go every Wednesday from now on, so she can check to see if I start to dillate, & that Mia's in the right position. My last shower is this Saturday, with all of the young women in our ministry from church!

Update: Mia is gaining about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy hair that covered her body, as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Next week, Mia will be considered full-term! Most likely she's in a head-down position, but if she isn't, your doctor may suggest scheduling an external cephalic version, where she'll try to turn your baby by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
